Location
We looked at many locations on the island to purchase a villa and without a doubt have settled on the the most prestigious and sort after area of Rhodes; Lindos.
The World Heritage Site and picturesque village of Lindos, steeped in history with its famous Acropolis and its many shops, tavernas, roof top restaurants and bars is just 1600m (25 mins on foot) to the left. The busy tourist resort of Pefkos is approx 2000m up the costal road to the right.
Both resorts of something for everyone with numerous bars and restaurants to cater for all tastes. Many of the restaurants in Lindos have roof top tables which offer an unforgettable views and romantic settings.
Nearby Lardos is also an excellent town to visit with many tavernas and the chance to experience a traditional Greek event. Another popular choice is to spend an evening the freshest fish & cool drinks along the seafront promenade of Haraki, a short drive or taxi ride away from the villa.
The Villa is only 40 minutes by car from Rhodes airport and Rhodes town (the capital) and is extremely easy to find by road even for the navigationally challenged. Here's a map of the island
For information on getting to the Villa from the airport please see Getting About
Shops
There are small shops in the Lindos Memories and Aqua Grand hotels towards the beach.
Pefkos has some larger supermarkets and Lindos is littered with many gift shops, a butchers and small markets. Lardos has an excellent butcher, fruit and veg and fishmongers in a row.
If you are traveling by car then I recommend a large supermarket which is on the left of the main road a couple of kilometres after Lindos (from us) and just by Vlicha bay.
If you drive towards Rhodes Town you’ll see plenty of other large supermarkets. Rhodes Town itself is packed with high street shops with some of the big names you see at home such as Body Shop, M&S.
Bars and Restaurants
Nearby Lindos and Pefkos both offer a wide array of restaurants and bars. Lindos to the left is easily walkable taking just 25 mins at a normal pace. Pefkos isn't so easy to walk to due to the hill, but is the same distance as Lindos. Taxis are always passing by or available by a quick call.
A few of our favourite restaurants: Ambrosia in Lindos, Tsambikos (above the bakery), Terpsis in Pefkos, Valentinos in Lardos, Corralis after Pefkos towards Lardos. There is a great lunchtime spot in Pefkos called Philosophia. If you head left up the beach you will some steps heading up the cliff. At the top of these you will find this cafe with great views of the bay.
Banks and Money
All the main Greek banks i.e National Bank of Greece, Emboriki Bank, Alpha Bank, Eurobank, Nova Bank, Piraeus Bank, Cooperative Bank of Dodekanisou etc. have branches and ATM machines on the island. They can be found in Rhodes Town, Ialisos, Diagoras Airport, Faliraki, Lindos Pefkos etc.

The Builders
It's a worthy mention that the property was built by Miko Invest - a highly reputable builder on the island renowned for their quality and prime locations.
They have this to say about the Blue Line Villas:
"BLUE LINE VILLAS" is a unique residential estate consisting of 16 sea-view luxurious villas, just 500 m away from the beach. Built on higher elevations (above the main road), it enjoys a stunning view of the sea and the rocky cliff where the "Guns of Navarone"movie was filmed.
